Obituary For Brenda Lee Hillard Summers

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Welcome Hill Cemetery for Mrs. Brenda Hillard Summers, 58, of Wiggins who died November 17, 2020 at her residence.

Reverend Leonard Galloway will officiate.

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Brenda was a woman of hard work, integrity, strength, love and faith.

She was born to Jimmie Musgrove, Sr. and Gladiola F. Hillard on September 4, 1962 in Gulfport, MS.

Brenda graduated from Driftwood Nursing Center in Gulfport, MS. She went on to receive a degree in Certified Nursing Assistant. She was a faithful and loyal employee there for several years.

Brenda later moved to Stone County where she became a dedicated employee at Valley Food Services.

She was a devoted churchgoer. Brenda was very caring and always willing to help others. She had a soft heart and beautiful smile. She was loved by many and she touched the lives of everyone who crossed her path.

Brenda devoted all her extra time to her favorite hobbies of gardening, helping others, enjoying family gatherings, being a great mother, and loving wife. She valued and treasured spending time with her nieces, nephews and friends.

On November 17, 2020, Brenda Hillard Summers transitioned from her life to be with the Lord.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmie Musgrove, Sr. and Gladiola Hillard and a brother, Curtis Hillard.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Anthony Summers; son, Carlos (Angela) Hillard; grandchildren, Kelbi Holliman and Casimere Hillard; siblings, Katrina (Fredrick) Armstrong, Deborah Musgrove, Jimmie (Valencia) Musgrove, Tommie L Franklin, Harry L Hillard and Christopher (Sherry) Hillard along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She will truly be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Owens-Ramey Chapel prior to graveside.

DUE TO COVID-19 ONLY 10 PEOPLE WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER AT A TIME AND MASK WILL BE REQUIRED.
