Obituary For Herbert Henry
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 Saturday at Good Hope Cemetery for Mr. Herbert Henry, 87, of New Augusta, MS who died December 15, 2020 at Forrest General Hospital.
Reverend Danny Ray Bolton will officiate.
Herbert Henry was born on January 1, 1933 in Beaumont, MS, to the late Reverend LeRoy Henry Sr. and Henrolia McCullum Henry. Being reared in a Christian home, he was convinced that he needed a Savior and he was saved at an early age under the leadership of his father, Reverend LeRoy Henry Sr. At this time Herbert began serving on the deacon board at River Valley Baptist Church in Beaumont, MS. until his health failed him.
Herbert Henry received his primary and secondary education in the Mississippi school system.
Herbert Henry has held many jobs and has met many people through his various occupations. Some of the notable occupations that he has held includes a long time bus driver for the Perry County School District and a truck driver for numerous companies.
With God before him, Deacon Herbert Henry from labor to reward on December 15, 2020, at 9:50 am, at Forrest General Hospital, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Welcoming his arrival into heaven was his wife, Annie Pearl, his parents, two sisters Annie Mae Booth and Armetta Rankins, three brothers, Rev. LeRoy II, Rev. Samuel, and Jessie, whom all proceeded him in death.
He leaves to mourn his passing and to cherish his memories; six children: Rev. Herbert C. Henry, Cornelius (Alisha) Henry both of New Augusta. MS, Deborah (Odia) Bourne, Kara Carter, Alex Henry, and Aylia (Aaron) Mikel all of Hattiesburg, MS; Eight beloved grandchildren: Constance (Harold) Bourne, Conswayla Bourne, Kylan Carter, Kaleb, Carter, Khailen Carter, Corneilia Henry, Pilar Bostic, and Kingston Henry; Two great grandchildren: Haedyn Leverette and Kylie Carter; two sisters: Mary (Cellus) Jones and Rosie (Saul) Bolton; Five brothers: Earnest (Clara), Daniel, David (Delores), Johniel (Sallie), and Elijah (Maureen); Four sister-in-laws: Eloise (Leroy) Gayden, Cleo (James) Moye, Willie Orey, and Dora Henry; One brother-in-law: Charles Curtis (Lora) Bolton; One special niece: Tereca Powell; Four god-daughters: Sherry and Shelby Irby, Fina Hence, and Miyori McSwain; Two special friends: Ester McSwain and Keith Fairley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 Friday at Owens-Ramey Chapel in Beaumont.
DUE TO COVID-19, MASK WILL BE REQUIRED AND ONLY 10 PERSONS WILL ENTER AT A TIME.
