Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Silas Cemetery for Leola Silas, 82, of McLain, MS, who died March 19, 2022 at her residence.

Paula Faulks will officiate.

Sister Silas was born in Marianna, Florida to the late Paralee Roundhardt. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and aunt. She was the Mother of the Church at Sweetwater United Methodist Church. Sister Silas worked for 30 years at George Regional Hospital in Housekeeping.

Survivors include; children, Viana Jones, Jennie (Raymond) Howlsen, Luke (Lettie) Silas, Shirleen Silas, Agnes Silas, Selena Carter, Se'Sundra Silas, Gary (Donna) Silas, Tom (Jennifer) Silas, and Coltman (Shekia) Silas and a host of grands, great and great-great grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon at the gravesite. Masks are recommended.
